Golf in British Columbia Welcomes New Golf Courses!

Golf in British Columbia is pleased to welcome five additional golf courses to our featured list for the 2020 season…

Morningstar Golf Club becomes the 14th golf course on the Vancouver Island Golf Trail. As a past location for numerous golf championships, Morningstar is an Island favourite and its proximity to Parksville’s most popular white sand beaches makes this golf course a perfect addition to your oceanside golf vacation.

“Played 18 from the whites with friends on a nice fall day! The course was green and lush… This is a fun golf course to play.” jackbutterworth, GolfNow

The Golf Course at Sun Peaks joins the Kamloops region, with greens located at 1,200 metres above sea level as British Columbia’s highest elevation course, complemented by natural foliage and panoramic views. The par 72 Graham Cooke course weaves along the village and at 6,400 yards offer ample risk and reward opportunities for all levels of golfer.

“The Highest Golf Course in Canada…..The course is looking green and fresh. The first nine are tight and a real challenge of your abilities…leave your driver in your bag !! The second nine are more open and lends themselves to opening up your power game, though with enough to test your accuracy as well. Very scenic. If you rent clubs, they are top quality Taylor Made. Nice little slopeside driving range…don’t hit the Gophers” dougskisupeaks, TripAdvisor

Bighorn Golf & Country Club, also in Kamloops, offers golfers the opportunity to take on one of the few “true” desert golf courses in Canada. Set high on a desert plateau overlooking the river, the golf course is crossed by ravines that create natural elevation changes with scenic views of the North Thompson River. Keep your eyes open for California bighorn sheep and be sure to let them play through!  Bighorn is a welcome addition to our Golf Kamloops package offerings.

“Beautiful and challenging golf course. Staff was friendly at the pro shop and our service at the restaurant was fantastic!” Stacey Vair, Google

In the Kootenay Rockies Golf Region, we’re pleased to welcome Kokanee Springs Golf Resort, where you’ll have the chance to play a Norman Woods’ golf course masterpiece, perched at the base of the Purcell Mountain range. Regarded as the flagship of golf courses in the Kootenays, is the perfect complement to a Kootenay Rockies golf road trip and conveniently offers lodge studio, cottage, and villa accommodations.

“Our group of 12 has been doing a trip for 30 years. First time to Kokanee. Loved the course, very friendly and great food. We loved being able to stay right at the course. Thanks to all the staff who served us and the grounds crew for great conditions.” John Dedels, Google

And lastly, British Columbia’s golf darling, Greywolf Golf Course located in the Invermere – Panorama area, joins our Kootenay Rockies golf offerings. As the #1 ranked golf course in British Columbia on SCOREGolf’Top 59 Public Golf Courses in Canada (and #2  in BC on their Top 100 Golf Courses in Canada), we’re over the moon to be able to offer Greywolf to golf enthusiasts who are itching to try a top-calibre golf course and take on one of the toughest golf holes in the province with “Cliffhanger.”

“4th year doing the BC golf trip and every year we finish off at Greywolf Golf Course. Every time I’m blown away! The views from each tee box, the layout and just the condition of the course is spectacular. Can’t wait for next year!” @threesntees, Instagram
