Vancouver Golf Courses
Super, Natural Golf Vancouver… The Lower Mainland golf courses are not to be missed!
Vancouver was recently named the “World’s Most Liveable City” – for the fifth time.
Even for the well-seasoned traveller, Vancouver has the power to astonish: the city is one of those rare places where you can golf, sail and ski – all in one day. Add to this a mild climate, where greens are green year-round, and it’s no surprise that Vancouver golf courses are some of the top in North America.
While most people think of Vancouver as a big city with its nightlife and shopping, it also has an excellent range of golf courses, many within a short distance of downtown. This means that your business trip, conference or getaway weekend can easily accommodate a round of golf, or you can book your own custom Vancouver Golf Package. As a bonus, most Vancouver golf courses are open year round.
As viewers of the 2010 Olympics can attest, the fabulous mountain and ocean backdrop just sets the stage for its vibrant, safe downtown. Fine dining, a range of sophisticated hotels and theaters all serve as incentives for the visitor. All of the top hotel brands are available in Vancouver, from 5 star luxury to mid-priced brands. The new Vancouver Trade and Convention Center, built for the 2010 Olympics, is an inspiring place to hold meetings and conventions.
Finally, don’t miss the BC Golf Museum. This little curiosity at the edge of the University Golf Club is dedicated to preserving and promoting golf history in BC. Housed in a 1930s colonial bungalow and former course clubhouse, the museum’s collections of historic photos, trophies, antique clubs, and other golfing memorabilia are arranged like a golf course in 18 themed sections
