With Spring finally here, golfers around the country are gearing up for the 2017 golf season. (Here on the West Coast especially, we are fortunate that many British Columbia golf courses open quite a bit sooner than Alberta, Ontario and even further east.) Which makes it a great time for Top100GolfCourses.com to release their Top 100 lists for 2017. Even greater? Fifteen British Columbia courses have made it onto their Top 100 Golf Courses in Canada list.
The first BC entry onto the list goes to Capilano Golf & Country Club in West Vancouver, coming in in the Top 10 at position number 7. This is followed by Sagebrush in Quilchena at number 12 (although Sagebrush has not as yet re-opened since closing in 2014), Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club in Vancouver at number 23 and Victoria Golf Club in Victoria at number 28.
The honour of the first public BC golf course in the Top 100 in Canada goes to fan and critic favourite Tobiano in Kamloops, which snagged the number 31 spot. Hot on their heels are Greywolf in Panorama at number 32, Royal Colwood in Victoria – 37, and Predator Ridge – Ridge Course in Kelowna, which comes in at number 38.
Next on the list come two Whistler region beauties: at number 48 is Big Sky, Pemberton, with Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club making it onto the list at number 52. Moving even further West, two Vancouver Island courses – Bear Mountain’s Valley Course and Bear Mountain’s Mountain Course – are listed as numbers 63 and 72 respectively. Another Island golf favourite, Olympic View, made it onto the list at number 98.
Congratulations to all 15 courses in the Top 100 Golf Courses in Canada – all are absolute beauties to play: make 2017 the season you do so!
Looking for even more great BC courses to try out this season? Top100GolfCourses.com also released their Top 100 Golf Courses in British Columbia. A great list of great courses in a great province. #GolfBC for the win!
